Love the bright yellow she used for her cover |
And her dedication page to the 3 of us. Brilliant! I told her that I wished I had thought of doing that. I will add it in when I get my journal back at the end of this project. |
Her first spread. I just adore her color scheme So vibrant. |
Her 2nd spread. The ink sketch on the left is amazing. I would never have the patience for all the detail. |
Here is my first spread. I used paper because that's been my focus lately. |
A close up of the left side |
A close up of the quote which was a clear sticker |
The right side. |
For the 2nd spread, I used gesso, paint, & washi tape. It felt good to take a break from using paper exclusively. I also added in some collaged stamps, stickers & this genius product for those of us who don't sew but like the look of it. |
A close up |
Have a wonderful weekend!

What an awesome project. I love seeing how other people can make a journal fun and beautiful. You both definitely have some great minds!
you are so crafty!! what a great project!
@Abby-Thanks! I am really thrilled with this project.
@Kat-Thanks! Hopefully my creative mojo continues :)
This post just makes me panicky. I have 13 pages of sketchbook project to complete TONIGHT.
Tell me again, how come you're not doing SKP? It's perfect for you. Next year?
@Linda-13 pages?! Good luck! I am overcommitted as it is so no SKP for me. And I have to admit that I wouldn't want to give it back :)
Hi Danielle...I like your pages you are doing for the project...very industrious. I just got a Xyron machine(the smallest one)...it's great for sticking down paper without any mess. I got mine on sale at scrapbook.com. It was interesting seein my journal pages...I forgot to take photos before I sent it off and I'd forgotten what I'd done...lol.
Mary
@Mary - Thanks for your kind words. I have the smallest Xyron too but I haven't used it yet. I will send you the pics.
