Five Favs Friday

Happy Friday! I am finally coming up on the end of my elimination/detox diet! I have to say that I am quite proud that I was able to abstain from dairy, gluten & especially added sugars (I have a major sweet tooth & believe whole-heartedly in daily dessert). Really, I have M to thank for that because he did all the meal prep & cooked some awesome meals. I am one lucky woman! I have seen some fantastic positive effects  like increased energy, less fogginess & weight loss, but unfortunately, not the one I was hoping for & the sole reason for doing this in the first place. The first food I plan on reintroducing is eggs. Yep, you read that right, eggs. And yes, I know that eggs are technically not dairy but I read that they potentially contribute to the health issue I am dealing with & I want to see if that's true for me.

And now on to this week's list. See you on Monday & look then for my new blog banner, courtesy of this cool creative chick & a total surprise gift. I have the most thoughtful, kind & creative friends. Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Remember viewfinders?! Check this out.
  2. These notes are sure to improve your mood (via creature comforts).
  3. This paper model set of NYC made entirely out of paper. Of paper (in case you missed it the first 2 times).
  4. Genius. One of those why-didn't-I-think-of-that-ideas.
  5. This book. Thanks Chris Guillebeau for putting into words something I've never been able to adequately name & for proving that you can achieve whatever your definition is of a fulfilling life.

Is it really that great the book? I read his blog and have always resisted his book because of budgeting.

@Linda-It is! But it happens to resonate with me b/c of the stage of life I'm in. How about getting it from the library?
